2011 Golden Globes Trophies... Hosted live on NBC by comedian Ricky Geravis at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, ‘The Social Network’ took home four trophies, the most of the night, including Best Picture-Drama. ‘The Kids Are All Right’ won the top comedic honor of the night, Best Picture-Musical or Comedy. As expected in the movie acting categories, Colin Firth won Best Actor for his portrayal of King Georg VI in ‘The King’s Speech.’ Natalie Portman, who recently announced her engagement to and pregnancy with dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied, won for Best Actress-Drama for her portrayal of ballerina Nina Sayers in ‘Black Swan.’ In the comedy category, Paul Giamatti unexpectedly won Best Actor for his portrayal of the title character, Barney Panofsky, in ‘Barney’s Vision,’ beating out Johnny Deep’s two nominations for ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘The Tourist.’ But as predicted, Annette Bening won for Best Actress for playing Nic in ‘The Kids Are All Right.’ In the television categories, Steve Buscemi won Best Actor-Drama for his portrayal of Nucky Thompson in HBO’s ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ which won the Best Series-Drama trophy immediately afterwards. Katey Sagal unexpectedly beat out fan favorites Julianna Margulies and Kyra Sedgwick in the Best Actress-Drama category for her portrayal of Gemma Teller Morrow in the FX series ‘Sons of Anarchy.’
