At the Commonweath Games, Australia headed the table with 22 gold medals but it won't be until the FINA world championship in Shanghai, China, in July that we'll really know how we're going. At the last meeting, Australia won four gold medals to finish fifth on the medal table, behind the US, China, Russia and Germany. At the Beijing Olympics in 2008, Australian women won six gold medals, two silver and four bronze, and the men went goldless, picking up three silver and three bronze.
