Sony's issued a statement following the release of a homebrew application that allegedly allows PS3 jailbreak users to fraudulently unlock Trophies. A company spokesperson told CVG it's looking into the development and will look to fix issues via network updates. "We are aware of this, and are currently looking into it," an SCEE spokesperson told CVG. "We will fix the issues through network updates, but because this is a security issue, we are not able to provide you with any more details." The homebrew application allegedly allowing PS3 users who have modified their console to unlock all Trophies in a PS3 title instantly and automatically, with random timestamps. It's the latest development following news that PlayStation 3 has been hacked completely and, allegedly, irreversibly by George 'Geohot' Hotz at the beginning of the month.
